As CEO of the Kriska Transportation Group, Mark oversees a growing company of over 1000 employees and over 900 power units. Mark grew the business significantly since becoming President in 1995 when Kriska had a modest 100 power units. Mark has rounded his transportation career by holding positions of increasing responsibility in all levels of the business. Mark has been a dedicated advocate for the Canadian trucking industry throughout his career. He has served as the Chairman of the Ontario Trucking Association (OTA) 2006-2008, the Canadian Trucking Alliance (CTA) 2014-2016. He is a founding board member of the Trucks for Change Network that connects trucking firms with registered charitable organizations requiring transportation services. Currently, Mark serves as an active Director of Trucking HR Canada and an Officer of the TCA (Truckload Carrier Association). As a testament to his dedication and impact on the industry, Mark was awarded the esteemed OTA Service to Industry Award in 2015.
As CFO for Kriska Transportation Group, Pierre has been involved in the growth of the business from the time he joined the company in 2003, generating an increase in the number of tractors from 250 to more than 600 today. Pierre has been the lead executive responsible for all arrangements related to financing growth acquisition transactions. Pierre brings more than 30 years of experience in the financial field with extensive expertise in Finance, Treasury, Risk Management and Legal transactions. His experience was gained through holding positions in various industries including capital intensive companies to hi-tech organizations. Pierre has gained international experience where he dealt with subsidiary companies located in Brazil, Uruguay and Barbados. Pierre has also taught at the University of Quebec in Hull in strategic management and as part of the CMA coaching program. Pierre's education includes an undergraduate degree from the University of Ottawa, a DESS diploma in Accounting from the University of Quebec in Hull, a Certified Management Accountant designation, as well as an MBA from the University of Quebec in Montreal. Pierre is currently a member of the Investment and Claims Committee for FR Insurance.
David joined Kriska in 2015 as the Director of Commercial Development. Prior to joining Kriska, David led the Canadian sales team at Schneider National, as the Commercial General Manager. David holds an Honours BA in Economics from McMaster University, an MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University and has a CPA CMA designation.
Heather brings over 20 years of transportation experience to the KTG team. Heather has held positions in Operations Management, Safety and Training as well as Human Resources during her 20 years with Schneider National's Canadian Division. Heather holds an Honours BA from the University of Western Ontario and a Diploma in Human Resource Management from Humber College.
Sylvane joined Kriska Transportation Group in September 2015. Prior to joining KTG, Sylvane was Director of Finance at Canada Post where she was responsible for the controllership and financial reporting of Canada Post Pension Plans. She also spent 13 years in publicly traded companies where she was responsible for consolidation, external reporting and financial systems. Sylvane is a CPA, CA and holds a B. Comm from the University of Ottawa.
David joined the KTG executive team in early 2016 and brought to the group over 17 years of IT experience. Over the course of his career, David has held numerous roles of increasing responsibility at Hewlett-Packard Enterprise and most recently as a Director at Innovapost responsible for the Data Centre migration for Canada Post and Purolator. David has a diploma in Computer Systems from Algonquin College as well as multiple IT certifications acquired over the years.
Eugenia has built a career in Transportation Safety and Compliance. Before joining KTG in 2019, she managed Transportation Compliance at Walmart Canada. Previously she oversaw Safety and Compliance at Calyx Transportation Group's six operating companies. Eugenia also brings a strong operational background from her decade as the owner of M&M Transportation. Her mandate at KTG is to bring standardization and consistency to safety and compliance throughout our group of companies.
